New Italian Cinema Events Brings “Io “Arlecchino” (I, Harlequin)
to Santa Clara University

Join the Santa Clara County-Province* of Florence, Italy Sister County Commission and friends of the Commission for a screening of “Io Arlecchino” (I, Harlequin) by Giorgio Pasotti and Matteo Bini. “Io Arlecchino” is a life-affirming story of a father-son relationship against the colorful background of the Italian theatrical tradition of “Commedia dell’Arte.”

For the past 29 years, the County of Santa Clara, USA/ Province* of Florence, Italy Sister County Commission has promoted the understanding of Italian culture and heritage in the San Francisco Bay Area. Proceeds from this event will support Italian arts and culture, and the Commission’s scholarship program to help enhance the study abroad experience of university students from Santa Clara County to study in Florence. Notte d'Amore/Night of Love Opera Event
WHAT:
Join the Santa Clara County/Province of Florence*, Italy Sister County Commission for an evening of the most romantic love arias, duets and ensembles from Italian operas,such as “Un bel dì, vedremo” from Puccini's Madama Butterfly; “Donde lieta uscì” from Puccini's La Bohème;
“Libiamo ne' lieti calici” from Verdi's La Traviata.

For the past 28 years, the County of Santa Clara, USA/ Province of Florence*, Italy Sister County Commission Florence Commission has been promoting the understanding of Italian culture and heritage in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tickets: $45 per person by April 20. $55 at the door as space allows.
